The Way of the Waterfalls
We started day three or four (who can remember?) at this adorable church, overlooking the most majestic countryside.
Without joking, this hat didn't leave my head any time I was outdoors. Thankful for my trip to Turkey for the purchase of this scarf and for my Nonno for providing me with the warm headgear ;)
Waterfall One, the Window Waterfall:
Waterfall Two, the one you could walk behind:
Then we went to see a glacier:
Waterfall Three, the rectangular one with the spectacular mountain alongside:
And another glacier, this one more dangerous, more stunning than the last. We couldn't get any closer for risk of avalanche, but you can see some people were a little more brave than us!
We drove out to the sea. I've never before felt such strong winds, such black sand. It was phenomenal.
Fields upon fields of black sand. Stunning.
On our last day, we went to the Blue Lagoon and floated around in the restorative waters before flying home. Great little trip out to the middle of the fire and ice.
