I love me a good motivational story. Aleisha and I started P90X on Monday. It's been strenuous and wonderful and a lot easier with someone to motivate me. I'm so sore that I could hardly turn on the projector in my classroom this week, but the workouts are really good. And yes, we're following that mental diet plan too...eight egg whites, anyone?
I had a really long conversation with my father last night. I'm eternally grateful for the support and love that my parents continue to bestow on me. They're insightful and kind and rather hilarious. I know I'm 30 now and this stuff perhaps shouldn't matter to me as much as it does, but I love love love it when my parents tell me they're proud of me: it is SUCH an elevation. My dad said last night, "Alexis, you never cease to surprise me." Well there you have it: I'll take it.
So, more to come when the time is right. I just have these epiphanies to share...
There is time for everything.

Every single thing that you have ever done, every single event, good, bad, or otherwise, every single person you have ever known, has brought you to this EXACT place. I am so thankful for every single moment.
