Nighttime Bath-ing

Bath by night was pretty beautiful.  It's a really small town, punctuated by bars, cafes and restaurants of every description.  Though we were tempted to go into the Roman Baths (you know, of Roman times), the thought of spending three hours on a guided tour just sounded a bit silly on a sunny day.  So wander around we did instead, breaking in the evening for some drinks, some food, and much laughter with friends who have since moved to the area.  It was a delightful derivation from the everyday here in London…it's so lovely to just stroll around for a few days.

Night two: ridiculous self-portraits following an exceptionally long afternoon sitting on leather couches at Hall and Woodhouse.

Daytime Bath-ing

Steven and I headed to Bath on Monday for a cheeky few days away.  Here's what we say during the day (other than rain storms on our second day…oh England, you predictable girl you)...

Isn't the garden at our B & B just amazing?  We loved this little place: Hawkins of Bath.  Highly recommended :)

Evana's Hen Do

The English call a Bachelorette Party, a "Hen Do", and so we did.  We started on the bus, drinking champagne and giggling with the bride, Steven's Mum, headed onto a boat for a disco, then went to a club in London.  It was sore feet and a pit stop at McDonalds before finally rolling into home at about 3:30 am.  Great night out, ladies.  What a fine lady, a fine night, a fine occasion to celebrate xx

The North Downs

After a pretty hearty night out, I was happy to lie on the sofa all day.  However, ever the optimist when he sees sunshine, Steven dragged me out into the fresh air to look over all of Surrey.  I was pretty happy to be out in the sunshine, getting some of this lethargy shaken out of me.  Tomorrow we leave for Bath for a few days, so it was a good sight-seeing warm up. I hope your weekend was lovely.
