Sailing

On Sunday, my Mom and Doug invited me to go sailing in the Burlington Harbour on their boat.  It was hot as Havana out there, but it was super cool to see them crew and sail and whatever other verb is appropriate to describe what we did on the boat with all the ropes.

The boat is called, "The Shark". Cooool.

I love that I look about ten years old in this picture. Twas hot out there and I wasn't adequately sunscreened.  Thankfully, I was reminded to bring a hat, so I was covered a bit.

It was a lovely day on the high seas  calm bay ;)

I hope your summer is going swimmingly well, too xxx

First Glimpse of the Girls

I arrived at Laura's last week to the cutest, questioning faces.  We're pretty sure they remember me...swoon.

Twins in a double stroller.  Adorable.

Laura's not keen on Ellie's new smile, but I think it's priceless.  PRICE-less.

On the Way to Toronto

After meals with family and a few good night's sleeps, it was finally time to get on the train to Toronto to see Laura and her amazing family.  I've been here since and have been loving this communal life.

Tower of London

Before London became completely enveloped with Olympic Fever, Richard and I took advantage of a sunny Friday and toured through the Tower of London.  Hilarious.  Camera around neck, we saw the Crown Jewels (I took a picture and was promptly approached by a Beefeater who advised me he'd have to look at my photographs and proved they were deleted.  Gulp) and the houses occupied by war veterans-made-Beefeaters.  Cool.

(nice picture, eh?  All mine, baby)

To London

The ride into the city is always a treat.  On Thursday, the sun was out and the sky was England-summer cloudy.  Love.

Last Day in Dartford

It was the last day of school and our last day in Dartford.  At loooong last.  So we put on some shades, rolled up our pant legs, and poured some white wine spritzers.  Because nothing says summer like a spritzer.

It was bitter sweet, seeing the sunshine, sharing some time, saying goodbye to Seth.  We've fond memories though, and though we can't keep him, we can keep those.
