Sorry about that Canada Day post. Not only is it taking an absolute eon to load pictures up (my internet? Can't wait to move now), but once the pics are loaded, I can't add any text. Well, I got some text, but it was gibberish, sort of.
So here is what you need to know...
After two full months of being on the P90X diet and workout plan (and totally loving the resultant bod), with only the occasional, weekend splurge on wine or steak, I was feeling a bit laissez faire about eating and drinking anything and everything on Sunday. Poutine was first on the menu (pic included), followed by a (much needed...I was starving) hamburger (with bun!), and about four beers. I was in the mood, what can I say? Following that, I left the party with Richard (alas, he has a name) and we went for pizza later on in the evening. Oh, and there were three bites of a raspberry tart in the morning.
So, with all of that warming my belly and keeping me a little lazy, we certainly did enjoy the day out. It's really amazing to know that in a few weeks' time, I'll be back home with all of you, enjoying what is sure to be an amazing summer. Being surrounded by so many Canadian accents certainly did make that easier to imagine.
Thought I would also post a picture from last year...just to see how far we've come (both in picture quality and in general conducting of myself. In a fountain? Seriously?). But I do still really miss Dani and Jocelyn so, so much. Amazing how time passes but the connections you make with people keep you adhered to a good time.
Oh, and I beseech you to pay close attention to Frank's outfit. Sooo Red-Green. Ah, and Richard is pictured as well, in what can only be described as a lumberjack shirt: red and white checks; elbow patches; the whole nine yards. It was all about getting into the spirit :) I likey.
