The Crazy Nastyass Honey Badger (original narration by Randall)

This is totally ridiculous, completely gross (not to mention uses totally inappropriate language), and yet certainly brings a smile to my face.

Remember when we first saw this video (on repeat), Kat, Aleisha, Frank, and Seth?

Honey Badgers don't give a sh*t.

Here's hoping you're all well tonight. xx

Best from Oscars 2013: Jennifer Lawrence's hilarious winner's press co

This is too funny.  Didn't we all love her in Silver Linings Playbook?  She broke RIGHT out of that tween Hunger Games shell, didn't she?  Love.
Thanks for sharing, Dani Samps!

Introducing...Baby Ella

On February 12, 23 hours after she'd gone into labour, Leanne and Mark welcomed Ella Rose into the world.  Everyone is healthy, happy, and home.  Could there be a bigger joy?

Welcome, Baby.
You are most loved.

Spring, can't you just show us a little taste of what's to come?
I'm getting sick of this dreary old weather.

...and I, for you

Great Living Room Wanted

Steven and I are planning a trip back to Canada over the summer holiday.  I'm wracking my brain to find a place we can stay in Toronto that is all our own, about $50 a night, and in a great location.  Air B & B seems like the most logical choice at this point, but some of the neighbourhoods are dodgy-town.

I'm sure we'll find ourselves at the suite at my mom's condo for a few nights so we're close to family in Burlington, and I'm sure we'll head north to stay in a cottage for a few nights (anyone looking to rent waterfront property?), but I'm still searching for that perfect place in the city.   Any place that resembles my dream living room above would be perfect!

Gurkha Kitchen

We had a week off school this week.  I had plans to go to school, pick up a little extra coin, and run some revision classes with my statistics class.  Right.

On Valentine's Day, I got sick.  Really sick.  And on Friday, I had to call in sick to work, missing our big training day.  Awesome, right?  Yeah, except that I haven't been this sick since I lived in Asia.  I was literally in bed from Thursday night until Tuesday afternoon.  What a way to spend a week off.  I guess I needed the rest, because even after I meandered over to Steven's to round the week off with him, I spent most of it inside, sleeping, resting, not moving.  I went grocery shopping one day and had to nap afterward.  I took a bath and had to nap afterward.  It was not pretty.

On Friday night, I was feeling markedly better, and my fella took me out for dinner in Oxted.  Because I haven't taken a picture of, well, nearly anything in the last few months, I decided that I'd post this one from Friday.  I look old and as exhausted as the night out left me feeling, but hey, it's something.

We're back to school tomorrow for a tiny five and a half weeks before our two-week Easter vacation.  Not too shabby, thinks I.   I hope your weekend was great!

What a Manly Day

And so it was that we found ourselves near Oxford, in the country, surrounded by Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, and a Ferrari.  Steven's friends bought him a package as a Best Man gift and we drove up to the country to enjoy it. Little did we know we picked the coldest day of the year to venture out onto that track, but after warming ourselves substantially over tea, Steven was off in this fancy little car.

Oh yes, it was snowing.  And oh yes, I was taking pictures of the whole thing.  It looks hilarious because though Steven's an excellent, pursuit-trained driver, the track is deceptively large and makes it look like the car is tootling along at about 60 km per hour.

It was the zipping around at 120 miles per hour in the racecar, however, that all the men were excited about.  How fast?!

Every single man (save Steven) who got out of that car said to the driver, "You have the best job in the world."  Um, driving open cars in the freezing cold?  Maybe not the BEST job, but certainly a manly occupation.

The Day it Snowed

Sometimes it snows in England.  And most of the time, the world quietly shuts down.  But oh no, not this time.  We saw more snow than is normal back HOME, and still the school opened.  Ah yes, folks, education is vital when it's snowing like the Dickens.  Sigh.

Woodstock

Steven and I popped into Woodstock this week, just outside Oxford, for a little tour around a little town.  He had a gift certificate to drive an Aston Martin, so we trekked up to the northwest of the country (I agree now: driving even a few hours here seems SO much longer than it does back home.  I get it now) and were sure to stop in for a spot of tea before we left.

After witnessing me taking pictures of enough doors, Steven pretended to be enamoured by this mini lamp post, telling me it was so beautiful I had to take its picture.  Luckily, he nearly fell over it, ending the joke and reminding him that remarking about the loveliness of painted doors was the preferred recreational activity to mocking one's girlfriend.

...then it was off to see the racecars.  In the coldest day of the year.  Of my life.  Of anyone's life.
