On my last day of school, I zoomed into the city to meet Erin, who was in the UK for the first time. What a treat to show her around (she has the energy of an 19-year old...quite impressive) this city that still sends me into a whirlwind (I get lost ALL the time). Gosh, going back through this blog, it's clear there were a lot of memories shared with her and her husband, Jeffry, like this one at a burger joint and this one Christmas shopping in the strangest place on earth.
This trip was lovely as well: in ONE DAY we walked to the top of St Paul's Cathedral, toured the Tower of London, took an open top double decker red bus tour, and took the accompanying boat tour that followed. Jeepers Creepers! I'm only sad that we didn't see the Jack the Ripper walking tour...I think I'll do that one of these days.
It was lovely to see you and have you stay, Erin. You're welcome any time xxx
At the Tower of London, we saw this tote, worn and faded from either overuse or cheapness, paying tribute to Wills and Kate. CLASSIC. Naturally, it sent us into hysterics.
I'm not much for a tour (more of a do-it-yourselfer when it comes to touring around), but this guy was amazing. And the best part? He LIVES in the Tower! Super cool.
