If you ask me, people should be fastidious, hardworking, and careful.  Generous is another good one to be.  Generous with time and attention are key for me (what an only child), but the ability and willingness to give what one has is more appreciated than one might think.  

I'm always totally in awe when I meet someone who meets these three criteria.  People always seem to be fastidious, hardworking, and careful, but then they prove not to be.  It's really radical to hang out with people with real jobs, real responsibilities, things that wake them up at 5 am and get them to thinking and doing... 

The girls and I went out for Mary's last night in England on Friday night.  It was a blast to actually be in the city on a Friday rather than still stuck at school.  We foolishly vowed (only foolishly because I foresee quite a few tired Saturday mornings in our future!) that we'd do it far more often.  I had a delightful weekend in the city :)


Tomorrow, my oldest kids write their exam.  We have a three-period revision session with them (yikes!) to prep them for 1 pm.  On Tuesday, Frank and I are headed to Brighton to complete a risk assessment for a school trip.  Neither of us have been and the weather's supposed to be great.  Cool way to spend a Tuesday, I'd say!
