Serious Highlights

Alright, it was a bit harsh. That last post was feeling a BIT on the serious side. But I was mad and feeling a bit overworked (and, naturally, underpaid). I feel MUCH better now. Thanks for your concern.

To start, Erik's play was great, as expected. I think I had a hot flash waiting outside to be let into the theatre, exacerbated by the fact that I hadn't finished marking even more ever-loving will this ever stop? exam papers and was feeling a bit stressed. What else is new leading up to Exam Time? Anyway, the play was great and it was so delightful to see him mid-week. The commute back to Dartford this morning was pretty awful, but it did include a hot cup of Starbucks coffee. Bring it. Finished my marking on the train and voila done...ready for school.

Right, that said, this was the highlight of my day until about 7 pm last night. Leanne posted the following comment and in case you didn't or can't read it, here it is:

who is giving you the cold shoulder?
I will throw bricks at them! love you;)

Does it get better than that? Nope. Bricks! Get it?

Oh, you want to know the conclusion. I got an email back from admin with the subject, "Stone Throwing Incident" and the message that the children had gotten a stern talking-to. Ha! I love how the offense was reduced to something far less dangerous because...oh who knows. Anyway, I have half a mind to start up a petition to get the parents in the know. HALF a mind only...I do still want to keep my job.

Today is a great day. Autumn is in the air and life (though still full of cold shoulders) is good.

Great, in fact.
