Austria

FINALLY! I got to Innsbruck. And you know what? It was the cutest little place EVER. Nonno was right, again. I gotta hand it to my family...they certainly do know how to pick great travel destinations. Here we go...

(how epic is this picture? LOVE.)

Though the Gruber Hof reminded us a little too much of the hotel from the Shining, it was a perfect blend of beauty, mountains, and, let's be fair, oddity. I'd totally go back. We stayed in a small town just outside Innsbruck called Igls. The food was outstanding at the local restaurant, and the people in town were simply adorable. Awesome time.

Here was the view from our room:

Pretty awesome, non?

The next day, after some breakfast,

we headed into Innsbruck for some touring (not in the way that Frank's Dad says, "touring" when he's lost and they're driving around, but in the actual way that "touring" means touring.)

Totally random art/advertisement at the university (where we not-so-fruitfully endeavoured to gain access to the anatomy museum):

Reminds me of the Mother Hen, handwriting, profession, and all :)

And then we were off (to a castle. Don't mind if we do).
