Reinefall

Using this photo of my grandfather, taken in 1984, as inspiration, we drove away from Kostanz toward Schaffenhausen. Hilarity ensued when Frank made up a song that wound up being a parody of another song that contained other German cities in it (what songs contain German cities as lyrics?). Anyhoo, here he is :)

And here we are...

We couldn't recall from memory just where that infamous photo was taken, so many a picture were snapped. This is actually the spot. We, unlike Nonno, had a killer flash to actually highlight us. Imagine that...standing RIGHT in the footsteps of my grandfather. It made me so thankful that I got to call him once I was home and share it all with him. Love.

So Reinfall is the largest waterfall in Europe and is formed when the Reine meets Lake Constance. Cool, right? Of course all of this is courtesy of my grandfather, the fountain (pun intended) of all knowledge.

To celebrate, we sat down with some German sausages. Oh dear.

Oh, and here is a close-up of Kat's honey badger badge. We all have matching ones, coordinating, yet made with our individual favourite colour. Yup.
