A woman I used to know used to say, when we were laden with goodies from a birthday or Christmas, that we, "made out like bandits!" It used to drive me nuts: as if we had stolen all the items and were bringing them back to our lair to figure out how much to sell them for later. Despite the fact that it isn't my favourite expression, this Christmas, I've made out like a bandit for sure.
Not only did my amazing man get me a Kindle
for Christmas, along with mocassins, that adorable hat pictured above, and more lip chap than I could use in a lifetime (in a fun drum!), but I get to see this face in real life in six short days!
Can you tell she's a little excited to be crossing the pond? One marathon Skype conversation later, and I think we might actually be ready for this trip. Roll on, Friday!
