I bet you are also wondering what the heck my neighbour is burning (in a big drum, mind) out in his backyard. Because that's what I'm thinking right now.
Hilarious time? I was taking this picture of him all incognito...shades drawn, lights off...and I forgot to turn off the flash. It was bright; it was big; he looked right at me. Sh*t. Awks Magawks.
Lines of the day:
Written to me: "Delay is the deadliest form of denial."
--C. Northcote Parkinson.
So true, non? Waiting is the worst game to play.
Spoken by me: "You are the reason things fall apart."
Ouch! Lordy, writing that is making me feel REALLY bad.
However, if we consider the context, my friend Jamie likes to touch art as much as I do (recall that time I fondled the frog original at your house, Laura? I do, too). She touched a Picasso at the museum. I just found this out today and didn't think much of it. As in, I didn't think much of that action as a thing to do. See, Laur? I've learned a lesson. Hence the comment. I meant it literally: still, I'm working on the foot-in-mouth disease I still suffer chronically with.
Just when I thought church could not possibly get more annoying, it was today. Kids everywhere, everyone talking (adults included). Argh. It was, "Mothering Sunday" today. Not sure if that's a misnomer like Labour Day...not for mothering just as the latter isn't for labour, but there you have it: another English naming tradition that I find strange and unusual.
But I do have to say that patio marking was brilliant, as was the at-dusk walk I took around Dartford with the Butterfly Enducer. I have to come up with a better name, don't I?
I had a restful weekend. It started on Friday with a dinner at a suppertime meant only for those over the age of 70, but it was great nonetheless. I do love a good meal. I hope your weekend was equally satisfying ;)

OK so this comment thing never works for me but I am trying it out now as a test ... Seems to be the only way to get to chat with you, busy lady!
