So because Spain is so fresh in my mind and going through the pictures of The Mother Hen and Doug will be like a trip down memory lane, I'll post all the Spainish pictures and give you a synopsis of the trip, then I'll go back to Italy and tell you all about the first leg of this awesome trip.
I arrived in Malaga late at night and since RyanAir is good for getting there on time, I was actually early (I know, shocking, right?). Nathan came to pick my sorry self up and took us back to the apartment in Marbella. It was amazing. It had a full kitchen, huge bathroom, and a balcony. Plus, they showed awesome made-for-TV movies once daily. Who could ask for anything more? We had rented a car, so getting around was easy. Unfortunately, I was ultra sick the day I arrived, after contracting food poisoning or the 24-hour flu. It was horrendous. I was sure I was going to die a slow, agonizing European death. Thankfully though, after a long night's sleep under many a blanket, I was doing much better the following day. So out we went to explore Marbella in the sunshine.
There isn't much to say here about the pictures: they are beautiful, rich in colour, and speak of the exuberant culture of the Spanish people. We took a tour of the Old Town, a great inner city park, then hit the beach. Pretty good first day, if you ask me. Without further ado...

I ate an extremely sour orange that Nathan picked from this tree. It was delicious.
First church: monumental event ;)
Finally, we arrived at the beach. Paradise found.
I'll post more tomorrow as I won't be enjoying a turkey dinner here. But the sun is supposed to be out...seems like a great way to spend a Sunday.
