Atop Florence, there lay a small town that overlooks almost all of Tuscany. It is called Fiesole. And it is magical. We took the bus there after an excruciatingly long experiment in patience and diligence, and knew it was all worth it when we saw this:
At the top of the long, winding road was this town, this clock tower, this beauty. This is where we found ourselves that day...
To the right we headed, following a small, green Pedestrian Walkway sign. Well worth the trek, non?
And then to the left we walked. And Tuscany opened up.
Naturally, there was some vino.
And some adoring glances ;) Could we be any more cheesy?
LOVE the people we met along the way...
...and the views that continued to change and continued to amaze me.
As the sun set, we could see Firenze shining in the background...
Twas a good day in December.
