Plitvice

Near Split, there is a National Park that we were all keen to see. The driving was treacherous and the road leading in was looooong and snowy...



But it was so worth it once we saw the frozen, blue giant waterfall. Yup.



To get us prepared for our walk into the canyon where the waterfall was located, we were warned not to fish, swim (and turn into Native art) nor light fires. Check.



The vista was spectacular...

But seeing it up close made it even that much more amazing.

LOVED the sign for the "national restaurant". How do you pronounce that???



And back in the car we went to continue the journey. As we said over and over and over again, "Now the adventure really begins!"
