Sometimes when I hear a quote I like, I take awhile to mull it over, think about it, and really understand it before I share it. This one comes from Mr. Branch Rickey, who was a baseball exec back in the 50's. He helped Jackie Robinson break the colour barrier in 1952. In the spirit of things not happening until we make them happen, here's me at the Korean consulate almost a year ago and the quote that sums up my journeys.
Things worthwhile generally don’t just happen. Luck is a fact, but should not be a factor. Good luck is what is left over after intelligence and effort have combined at their best. Negligence or indifference are usually reviewed from an unlucky seat. The law of cause and effect and causality both work the same with inexorable exactitudes. Luck is the residue of design.”
Have a great day!
