Loving the English Traditions: Pimms

I got to talking to the girls last night about going home. We talked about the mothers and their desire to have us close-close-close; about the fathers who would pick us up from the airport; about the friends who we would just about squish with our lord-have-I-missed-you hugs. That put a smile on my face

And after the day we'd had, we were ready for some relaxation. The girls had gone to celebrate the Trooping of the Colours in celebration of the Queen's birthday.

Writhing around in jealousy, I recounted tales of my revision session with five kids, bus trip into London, an afternoon spent at London Dungeons (which was pretty cool, I'll admit...shame I forgot my camera though) followed by a "vegi" burger at the Tea Hut in Bexleyheath. So random. This was perhaps just what the proverbial doctor ordered

I did something for the first time ever yesterday: drove over Tower Bridge (pictured at the very top of the blog) on a bus.

Might not sound too amazing to you, but seeing that bright blue so close up, watching the people snapping picture after picture, smiling at the gloomy day hanging over the Thames that was oh-so-England-y...it was pretty amazing.

Speaking of things that are oh-so-England, we indulged last evening in a few jugs of this concoction. Cheerio.
