Spring Skies

There is something absolutely magical

about the colour of the sky in the spring.

It looks so much like the colour of the sky

in the fall.

There is something so alive about both seasons: the starting of school has always symbolized as much of an awakening for me as new buds on trees. I think both seasons trump summer and winter.

There is something about flanking The Big Guns: the prosperity and splendor of summer lies on the other side of the desolation and frigidity of winter.

Summer skies are smoggy and opaque. Winter brings gray, gray, and gray.

What better time is there than between relief and despair?

Spring and autumn: the seasons of hope.

Pics are mine from Paris, Vienna, and Salzburg.
