Feeling Peaceful

I feel amazing today. The kid I tutor on a Wednesday canceled last night, so I stayed at school until 7 and got organized. What an amazing feeling. I got some classbooks ready (we have to glue in all these papers to make them, as we used to say in banking [though I trust they still do], compliant), marked some homework, organized my whole desk, and somehow managed to watch the end of the Ides of March, which was SUPER good, despite it being all about politics. Ryan Gosling will do that to you, I guess.

I walked home, put some chicken in the oven (I never cook meat at home unless it's for someone else...yesterday was awesome), went for a run (it's full-on spring over here), then marked some more books over dinner.

I'm at the point in To Kill a Mockingbird where Tom Robinson dies, so I'm feeling really book-motional right now. What a classic.

This morning, I got a ride to school (winning!), which is wicked because it was rainy and super windy, taught an amazing lesson about trigonomic functions (we got the sin graphs out, even)...

followed that up with a pretty decent lesson on how to turn grouped frequency tables (are you bored yet?) into box and whiskers plots (how cute is that name?)...

and now I'm sitting down, eating my fave: spinach, tuna, apple and celery salad.

Sometimes life gives you a great f*$king day.
