It never rains, does it? It pours.
Recently, this mother contacted me asking me to tutor her son. Yeah sure...pile it on. I currently tutor four kids on three different days, offer revision to students Wednesday nights, and work most Saturdays from 9 until 11. It's a hectic week...why not add another kid to the mix?
Turns out the mother wants me to tutor this kid for FIVE hours a week. Add to that the seemingly insurmountable task of being a student once again (the Spec Ed AQ starts tomorrow), as well as the IT know-how necessary to actually sign in to the friggin' AQ course and the memory to sign in on the daily to comment on randa-lonie things about special education. Seriously?
How can you say no to a lucrative offer? It's a short term arrangement...he'll probably not need me after half term (in five weeks). Is it all too much? Will I have to spend my weekends chained to classroom and homework books just to stay afloat of my actual full time job? Argh. Part time work was so much more my style ;)
Then I think about my full time friends. Full time wives, mothers, fertility experts; full time lawyers, nurses, nutritionists, students, realtors; full time livers. Hahahah...liver. I think I should just get off my keister and get 'er done. Vacation's in five weeks: I can rest up then!
As my good friend Jackie says, "Strap 'er on and git 'er done!"
Thoughts?
