Well the last week or so has been a flurry of activity for me out here in SK. Before I hunkered down to my amazing online math course (could I sound any more like a huge dork?), I thought I'd update you on what's been happening.
I went to the GEPIK training course (the public school association to which I belong) from Tuesday to Thursday. The weather was so nice during the day and even warm at night that I decided to kaibosh my Temple Trip and go to the island with my friends instead. When else can you lay on the beach in October? So I got home Thursday night, signed onto my online course and found out that I had missed a whole week of "dialogue". Not really sure what that even meant, I spent the next four hours becoming familiar with the site.
Friday morning, we packed up and boarded a ferry off the coast of Incheon at 3 pm. It was a real riot. We got to our pension later that day, and headed to the beach to watch the sunset. Next came a weekend of debochery, followed, inevitably, by a sick me. I had a fever of 103 degrees last night, but I vowed not to visit the hospital, lest they subject me to more Swine Flu paranoia.
I'm much better today, after a staggeringly long day of doing nothing. It was great. I'm back at school tomorrow (I'll blog more details with more pictures, I promise) and then the kids have midterms for a looong time. Nice. Oh, and My Man's wife is delivering their baby on October 7. Exciting week all around.
