Alec (on the right, Jim on the left) is leaving South Korea after his year of teaching. Me thinks he'll be back though...what's there to do in Long Island anyway?
Osan also has a wonderful Mexican restaurant called La Casa Del Mexicano. Matt and I arrived earlier than the bunch after our little visit of the town, so we sat and enjoyed a margarita.
I haven't had one of those since Leanne and I dove into those styrofoam-enclosed ones in Progresso, Mexico. God, those were good. But these get an honourable mention.
The food was incredible: smallish portions, but definately homemade and definately better than any other food I've whipped up lately.
I've known Alec since I arrived and met him and the others at Cisco's party. It feels awfully weird to know that another person we've gotten to know and are accustomed to seeing every weekend is going away. And really, what are the chances I'll see these people again? We live all over Canada and the USA: the chances are slim. Who knows, maybe I'll make a valiant effort and end up pen pals with all of them.
Anyhoo, here are some pictures from around the table...
As we were leaving Songtan, I caught this shot of the train coming into the station. I love public transportation.
