Seeking Comfort

Things are hectic at work right now. Kids are in and out,
up and down,
with us and then gone.
It's all too much to handle, thinks I.
Sure, we'll get through it, but lordy, how I do want it to just be over.

Anyway, turns out we not only have revision with
the Year 9 students on Saturday,
but I've volunteered to go to London Dungeons right after revision
(I didn't realize what day the trip was).
So I'm working six days this week. ONE measly day off...really?

I shouldn't complain...my cousin Sarah wouldn't...

...I should just drink it all in.

I'd rather be drinking all THIS in...

The Mother Hen sent this to me...I guess I'm projecting a bit of a
downtrodden aura as of late.
It's from Stuart Knight (
http://www.stuartknightproductions.com)

It seems like the one true friend I have
in these moments is my past.
He's been with me since the beginning
of my life whispering in my ear
saying,"Don't worry, you did it last time
and you can do it again."
It's with these words that I will move forward
today and tomorrow and
until the moment you see me
standing on that stage smiling back at you.

If this is my past, and this is what I have to lean back on,
I'm doing pretty, pretty good,
no matter how downtrodden I might feel at present.

I miss these two and they look great. Nono looks like he has put on a bit of weight which is a good thing! I don't know how he has stayed so skinny all these years with Nona's cooking!
