According to Laura Zizzo, my source at http://www.laurazizzo.com/,
The following is a press release from the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada dated November 2, 2009.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper today announced that he will visit the Republic of Korea (South Korea) from December 6 to 7.
“Canada’s relationship with the Republic of Korea is grounded in longstanding historical ties and many years of strong political and economic cooperation,” said the Prime Minister. “The Republic of Korea is an important economic partner and like-minded player in the global and regional promotion of freedom and democracy.”There have been four ministerial-level visits to South Korea since 2006.
South Korea is Canada’s seventh largest trading partner, with two-way merchandise trade valued at $9.8 billion in 2008. There are an estimated 98,000 Canadians of South Korean origin and more than 27,000 South Korean students studying in Canada. South Korea will be co-chairing the G20 Summit taking place in Canada in June 2010.
Look at that...our PM SH is on his way to SK. Huh. I'll have to find out where he's headed. Probably the Plaza Hotel in Seoul. Niiiice. I wonder if I can see him???
Thanks, Laura!
