Lent

Well folks, the Lenten season is upon us once again.

I've got half a mind to take up the SELF regime again (for those of you who don't recall, SELF is an acronym for Serenity Exercise Love and Food). It was a rich ordeal last year. I vowed to do 40 runs in 40 days (and I think I only missed 8!), journal, and avoid gossiping.

This year my priorities are different. I think I'm going to endeavour to live the SELF life so to make me a better person. Perhaps this will rub off on some of my kids, coworkers, and, well, others around me.

In addition though, I'm going to start volunteering some time here in Dartford. I've been researching some opportunities and there is a
lot of work with young offenders here in Dartford. Though that doesn't bode well with me since I'm more into reading stories to sick kids than talking about addiction and abuse, I'll have to do some hunting to find the right fit. With two tutoring clients firmed up, it's high time I give back to this little community.

Do you have any plans for the next forty days?

I'll show you what made my day...

The Mother Hen, "Hamming it Up on a Winter's Day".

LOVES it. Thanks Mum :)
