Then where the better half live...
The colour and the cloudless sky. I couldn't ask for a better day.
Wicked! George Orwell!
My traveling companions. From left, Jocelyn, Sam, and Dani.
Some newer architecture was hard to keep my eyes off of.
The enthusiasm of one...
is certainly trumped by that of another.
Same same, but different.
Our favourite store of the day. Selling wellies, polo shirts, and wool blankets: Scottish clothing has never been so beautiful.
Some odds and ends...
The mayhem and wonder that is Portobello Street...
Here are some of the glorious street corners, houses, and colours of Notting Hill and Portobello Road. Swooning hard, aren't we?
Remarkably large paella cooking in the street. Loves it.
My favourite character of the day. He later reappears in a bit of an embarrassing moment for Yours Truly. Stay tuned...
Princess and her chariot...
For the fourth time since Yvonne's cure-all tuna and tomato juice remedy for my not eating all day before a 7 pm exam at Western, I had a Bloody Mary. This one had a splash of wine, was incredibly spicy, and was so delicious that I just had to have another. Like a whole meal in a glass...what's not to love?
So here he is again...
I fully got in this man's way as he tried to do his work, snapped his picture anyway, then got yelled at to move. A little presumptuous of me, I thinks, but it's a great pic, non? Perhaps worth the humiliation?
Some repetition since I adore it so...
Random bits as the market closed down...
Most of the children we encountered were quite lovely yesterday.
Not exactly the most elated of outdoor performers.
Spring.
We needed some fish and chips to round out this entirely London day, so we headed here for some wine and some grub. Twas delicious.
One last glimpse as the camera did funny things to my pictures...
We popped in here for a night cap before heading back on the tube and train.
