SELF, Day Sixteen: Doozies

Yesterday I had two doozies, one period after the other.

First, I put all my weight on one leg, leaned forward, then grimaced in pain as my knee sort of gave out. A year 8 kid (12 years old), shook his head and said, eyebrows raised in the most matter-of-fact tone, "Wup, she's broken her hip."

Second, yesterday I was wearing a brown tweed skirt, cream-coloured tights, and a cardigan. One of my favourite year 7 students came in to class, looked me up and down, and proclaimed, "Miss! You look like a school girl!"

Honestly, my job is sometimes so enlightening, I can't get enough. The weather here in Jolly Old is so amazing. Temperatures soared to 18 degrees yesterday and the sun has been RIGHT out for the last five days. It's amazing. I'm in love with weather today.

What isn't there to be thankful about? Life is good, friends, life is good.

I had some great Chinese food last night on a bit of a date. Twas lovely. Good conversation, good food, and a run at the gym before it all began. This is what it's all about.

Though the weather back home is still disgustingly winter-y, I do hope you are enjoying what you're making of it ;)
