This is a rare glimpse into the elusive home of the top designer in Dartford: Yours Truly. Oh brother. If furniture was cheaper and we had a way to move it, you are darn tootin' we would be moving this stuff out and moving chic-er stuff in. Alas, we are stuck with the blue beauties. What they lack in looks, however, they more than make up for in comfort.
I prettied them up this weekend as much as humanly possible (god, that droopy centre cushion is really embarrassing me) by buying a throw (more like a huge, warm blanket!) and some pillows. And voila! A nice(r) living room :)
I'm laughing my head off right now. I assure you that the pillows are actually NICE and are not a throw-back to 1974, as the photographs would imply. They are fresh, and colourful. I should just delete these, shouldn't I? How much can you REALLY do with a BLUE sofa and matching (atrocious) chairs? Be kind.
But the moment you have all be waiting for...the bookshelf pictures have finally been revealed.
Take a peek!
Full effect...
Les Filles alla NYC...
Postcards from Florence and from the National Portrait Gallery...
Who says you can't have a birdbath in the house, on your bookshelf? Not this guy.
My travel guides...
Ah, and in the boudoir, a new tray to highlight all my goodies.
And a makeup organizer, since the apple that Jamie's mum gave me was getting a little beat up under all that rouge.
Feeling more at home now. Living the dream, folks.
Got an out-of-the blue email from Leanne today: was nice, my God. Thanks for writing, beauty!
I hope you are feeling great as well :)
