Costco: Part Two

The last time I went to Costco, things were a huge mystery to me. The thought of bulk in such a country (you know, the place where they don't have enough room for a bed for each child in a household, let alone enough room to store 5 cans of Starbucks cocoa mix) was perplexing to me. Nevertheless, I do enjoy the Costco and did even more this weekend. God, everything here is an adventure. This was no exception.

It starts with the view. The mountains in the background, Seoul stretching out before us, and scads of cars going every which way. Oh, and you might not be able to see the traffic cop, standing in the midst of it all, helping drivers get around a little more effectively. Oh Korea.

And the cherry blossoms are everywhere. Spring is so beautiful here...

We were hungry and it was early, so we went for pizza in this madhouse of a cafeteria to start out the shopping trip right. Mmm...cheese pizza (and a slab of it to, for $2...not too shabby).

Then I opted to take some pictures of things I was certain I'd only find here. Korea, you crack me right up.

Some flat, unmoving fish, fresh from the tank...

Already-shucked oysters? Gross.

Enormous squid. Maybe this is just plain old octopus? Hard to say...

And the piece de resistance..."Wilson's Corn King Franks with VARIOUS MEATS".

Though it says "product of USA", one has to wonder. I'm pretty sure they're made just for the Asian market. Mmmm...

Loving life...hope your weekend was great :)
