She insisted I go to the doctor and since she'd more than likely call the doctor later to ensure there weren't any problems or messages lost in translation (not to mention to check to see that I'd actually gone, JUST like a real mother), I went, though I was feeling alright.
Doc saw me during his lunch and in about twenty minutes and SEVEN dollars later (yeah, their health care system is pretty top-notch), I was all set up with Korean Drugs. No idea what they were, but I was willing and ready to take them. My how times have changed.
So it turns out I have "pa-mon-broncho", which I can only assume means bronchitis and pneumonia, but who can really be sure? Doc says it is a common reaction to the Yellow Dust, especially for suffers of respiratory ailments. It's serious, man. I should have been more careful.
I was home by 1 pm and twenty minutes after taking the Mystery Drugs, I passed out for more than three solid hours. I didn't move. I suppose I was a bit tired, but my oh my, do these Koreans know how to force rest on you. It's nice.
I feel fine...my chest is just tight and it's high time for the summer to get here so the spring and its filthy Yellow Dust can get the hell out of my life for good. There...I said it.
Hope you guys are having a swell day :)
Joelle and Laura are going to visit Carolyn and Amelia today.
I know it's wrong,
but I'm soooo jealous.
Wish I was there!
