the repitition, the weird, the familiar, and the wonderful

Myeongdong is Seoul's shopping Mecca. Thus, it is one of the world's shopping capitals. It's absolutely stunning, even on a freezing cold day. The sea of humans, the rows of goods to buy, the smells of Korea's delicacies...what a trip.

Here's a few things that left me seeing double (and perhaps it's worth mentioning that yes, I did take these pictures)...

...gitch

...piggy banks

...chairs outside at Starbucks

...hats

...wigs

...barrettes

...leggings

...and of course, the humans.

While there, I'm always bound to see a few things that turn my head. Like
this head...

...this mouth

...this title (Menopause: the Musical)

...this warning.

But just when it gets to be too much, rest assured that capitalism is alive and well here. And that warms you up a little. Asia feels so cold sometimes...

Then I stop sometimes and see what's really around me. Half moons out at 4:30 in the afternoon just amaze me.

I just adore when Korean families are affectionate with each other. Dads are not usually as sweet with their kids as this guy was...it was too cute to pass up. Wonderful day.
