Last night, I made pasta, ate it, did some laundry, and hit the sack at 8:30. My god was that sweet slumber welcomed. I did take an extra-strength Gravol though to ensure that I slept right though the night, so this morning, from the time my alarm went off until about an hour later, I was completely asleep.
Used a kettlebell for the first time today to try these powersquats. http://www.diet.com/videos/play/4min-workout-tabata-interval-kettlebell-swings It was wicked awesome. Apparently it boosts your metabolism for 31 hours (that's a random number, isn't it?). It was nearly six minutes of torture, but it was well worth it. I'm sure I'll wolf down anything and everything anyone gives me to eat today as a direct result.
A long gray hair stood upright on my head this morning, protruding from my perfectly coiffed do, daring me to yank it from it's defiant root. I will NOT!, errant hair! I smoothed it down as best I could and went to school.
Does this mean I'm getting old? I can't WAIT to dye my hair again once I get home.
I only got halfway to work when I realized I forgot my lunch (that I actually cooked mere moments earlier. Really? I think I'd forget my head some days if it wasn't attached)
One of my co-teachers greeted me with the second part of my breakfast: a Ferraro Rocher. Yumma! Metabolism kicked into overdrive and I'm finally starting to wake up fully. I could use a cup of tea though.
I got a rejection letter from a school in Italy. Apparently they were inundated with applicants and their awesome (sarcastic) applications. Hmmm...again, I thought it would just be ME applying to these jobs. I emailed Nancy for some networking help and am on the hunt for something else today.
I must be honest, after a good night's sleep, I'm feeling a little more tranquil. Not sure if serene is the right word, but I think I'm getting there. And I'm pumping in the pro- and prebiotics, Mum. Just so you know.
